Bio- data of Shri Laxmanbhai Kalidas Patani- Member

       Shri Laxmanbhai Kalidas Patni S/O Shri Kalidas Dosabhai Patni was born on 10^th April 1944, in a poor vegetable seller family in Siddhpur city  of Patan District of Gujarat. He passed his Matriculation Examination in 1963 and got married. He did DTC in 1965, A.M. (BA, B-Ed) in 1974. He became a teacher in Gujarati/Hindi Middle School. Became Member of NT-DNT Advisory Committee of Gujarat Govt. and struggled for development of De-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-nomadic Tribes. He has promoted education for the poor children and controlled Management of Educational Institution for children. Elected MLA( Congress Party )  from 1975-1990. Held many important position on various committees  in Gujarat State Government. President of Patni Vaghari Vidharthi Sangh, Sports Club, Vaghari Academy, Akhil Bharatya Vaghari Vikas Parisad and Nomadic & De-Notified Tribe Sangh, Ahmedabad. Vice President of All India De-Notified-Nomadic Tribes Association. Member of W.R.Z. Consultative Committee, Mumbai. He has been honoured awards like “Hindi Spokesman Award” in 1985 by Akhil Gujarat Hindi Vikas Mandal, “Indo American who’s who Men and Women of Achievement” published in 1994 Granth by Indo American Granth Volume- I , “ Reference Asia” Asia’s who’s who of Men and Women of achievement. Volume IX published in 1995 and “20^th Century Admirable Achievers” distinguished who’s who vol- I published in 1999 and many.  He assumed the Chair of Member in National Commission for De-Notified, Nomadic and Semi-Nomadic Tribes, Government of India, New Delhi, on 06/02/2006.
