Brief resume of Shri Balkrishna Sidram Renke- Chairman
Born in a nomadic family, the mendicant devotees of goddess Ambabai. Indian by birth but homeless & landless, hence, without territorial right. School education in eight different schools and higher studies in two colleges, due to frequent migration of family. Went to Mumbai in 1964 and stayed on Dadar platform for six months doing all sorts of work for livelihood, right from porter to handcart puller. Joined the Forensic science Laboratory State of Maharastra, Mumbai as Senior Scientific Assistant in 1965 and resigned from the Government job in 1973 and voluntarily dedicated to the work of the amelioration of NT/DNT as a full timer. He is the first man through whom the ball of statewide organization of different NT-DNT communities was thrown in the ground first time in 1970-71 founder of NT-DNT movement. Stood instrumental in promoting & implementing several welfare schemes and projects for upliftment of the tribes in Maharastra state. Presently working as Working President of ‘LOKDHARA NT-DNT NATIONAL FORUM’. Trough research, experimentation & demonstration work, He brought forward a “livelihood Basket” for poor people. His “Ten Guntha Natueco farming experiment” is recognized internationally for which he was specially awarded as “Architect of Gandhi forum” the all India level organization under the chairmanship of Hon’ble Ex- President of India R. Vyankatraman. Several award being awarded by different bodies across the country. More than 350 families of Nomadic Tribes are now independent and living with proud with help of Natueco Farming Technique. Emphasis on a paradigm of development based on Equity. Environmental balance, enhancing productivity, sustainability & efficiency. Attended many States, National & International level seminars. His experiments are remarkable to achieve the following objects:
